Job summary

The Bedford College Group seeks an Inclusion & Development Coordinator to join the Health, Social Care & Childcare department in Bedford. You will support learners through targeted interventions, promote wellbeing and inclusive practice, and collaborate with staff and partners to ensure effective guidance.

Ideal candidates will have Level 3+, GCSEs, safeguarding knowledge, and strong communication and organisational skills, with willingness to travel across campuses.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Level 3 or above with GCSE English and Maths, plus experience in student support, advice and guidance, coaching, mentoring or learner development roles.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver targeted learner support, identify barriers to attendance, engagement and progression, and implement interventions to improve wellbeing and academic success.
  • Work with curriculum teams, central services, parents/carers and external partners to provide inclusive support, coordinate referrals, and ensure learners receive appropriate guidance.
  • Promote learner wellbeing, support safeguarding and student development, and ensure safeguarding concerns are managed effectively.
  • Maintain intervention records, track learner progress and support activities, produce reports on trends and outcomes, and communicate across teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, promote equality and diversity, participate in training and events, and uphold safeguarding, health and safety responsibilities.
