Job summary

Hopkins Public Schools is seeking a part-time Inclusion Assistant to support the Kids & Company program. The role focuses on students with special needs, implementing inclusion plans, and helping provide a safe, engaging out-of-school-time experience.

The position requires a high school diploma, experience with school-age children, and CPI/first aid readiness. Hours are typically 2–4 per day, before or after school, at multiple elementary sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year paid experience working with school age children.
• Experience with children with special needs preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and other training as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Kids & Company program at the site level.
• Prioritize students with special needs according to inclusion plans.
• Provide safe, developmentally appropriate activities during out-of-school time.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct with staff and families.
• Support intake conferences and data gathering for students with special needs.
• Promote inclusive, respectful environments and adapt activities as needed.
