Job summary

AnaVation seeks an experienced cyber professional to join our Reston, VA team as Incident Response Lead/Advisor. You will mentor a team of security professionals, guide incident responses across diverse systems, and collaborate with IT and security teams to implement effective remediation and policy improvements.

The role requires a TS/SCI w/CI Poly clearance, a Bachelor's degree, and DoD 8570 IAT Level II (CySA+) certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Clearance: U.S. Citizen, TS/SCI w/CI Poly.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (CySA+) within 30 days of contract start.
• Location: Full time, on-site position in Reston, VA.
• Experience: 8 years identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents; monitoring logs and network traffic; executing IR playbooks; cross‑functional collaboration; advising on security policies and risk.

Responsibilities

• Advise/mentor a team of cyber security professionals on incident response practices.
• Lead incident response across various networks, platforms, and tools.
• Coordinate with IT and security teams to mitigate threats and prevent recurrence.
• Read and interpret malware analysis reports and advise on remediation.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
