Job summary

Google is seeking a Security Engineer in Incident Management to lead security response efforts and coordinate cross-functional teams across incident lifecycles. You will identify risks, design controls, and drive rapid resolutions with engineers, lawyers and executives.

The role emphasizes proactive defense, DFIR expertise, and on-call responsiveness to protect Google’s products and users. You will work with Security Response to monitor systems, analyze threats, and apply engineering practices

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews orthreat modeling.
2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and networksecurity and security protocols.
2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.

Responsibilities

Identify security issues and implement and design security controls, tools,and services to improve security systems and processes.
Triage, assess, coordinate and drive resolution on a different range ofincidents.
Perform highly technical analysis of risks and emergent issues.
Analyze causes to identify trends and systematic issues. Improve informationsecurity (and privacy) of Google’s products and services.
Develop excellence in incident management through tools and infrastructureand preparing teams across Google through exercises and training.
