Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Incident Management Engineer to join the Incident Detection and Response team. You will provide incident response, account ownership, and communications during major outages for our most critical customers.

This global role requires strong leadership, Mandarin fluency, and the ability to work across engineering teams. IMEs follow core hours 8am-4pm GMT+1 and may work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have Mandarin fluency and strong communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent, or 3+ years in technical support.
• Experience with virtualization and cloud-related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive resolution of large-scale customer incidents as part of a rotation.
• Lead critical escalations in collaboration with Engineering Teams.
• Provide incident response and management for critical workloads.
• Mentor peers and contribute to standard operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders during high-impact events.
