Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Incident Handler at an intermediate level to independently manage the full lifecycle of cybersecurity incidents for the DoD information network at Fort Huachuca, AZ. You will evaluate complex network events, provide advanced technical leadership, and mentor junior staff while refining defensive playbooks to improve mission security.

The role requires DoD Secret Clearance eligibility and a track record in incident response, threat analysis, and security operations.

Qualifications

• 6 years w/o BS/BA, 4 years with an Associates; 2 years w/BS/BA, 0 years w/Masters OR one of the listed certifications.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience managing full lifecycle of cybersecurity incidents and evaluating complex network events.

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently recruiting for an Incident Hander - Intermediate Level

• The Incident Handler will independently manage the full lifecycle of cybersecurity incidents and evaluates complex network events to protect the Department of War (DOW) information network. Utilizing advanced technical expertise, this role identifies and neutralizes sophisticated threats, conducts in-depth diagnostic assessments, and directs incident resolution efforts.
• The analyst serves as a technical leader by providing mentorship to associate-level staff, performing quality assurance reviews of team output, and refining defensive playbooks to ensure maximum operational security and mission success.

Qualifications

• 6 years w/o BS/BA, 4 years with an Associates Degree; 2 years w/BS/BA, 0 years w/Masters OR One of the following:

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
