Position Overview

BSP Trans, Inc. has delivered outstanding LTL transportation services in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont since 1970, with a six-terminal network ensuring swift deliveries.
We currently have immediate openings for our Inbound Supervisor 3rd Shift position:
- Full Time – Mon to Fri, 2:00 AM shift
- Pay: $62,400 - $67,600 depending on experience
Typical Responsibilities
- Develop effective plans for inbound operations, plan delivery routes, and communicate these to staff
- Supervise dockworkers and drivers during unloading and loading processes
- Adjust routing based on workforce availability or workload changes
- Review, plan, and prioritize commitments, freight appointments, and equipment needs
- Maintain communication regarding linehaul driver issues during shift
- Foster a positive work environment and handle employee concerns and suggestions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, federal, state, and local laws
- Train, mentor, and apply corrective actions as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in a lead warehouse or dock position
- Experience with handheld scanners and routing software
- Proficiency in processing inbound paperwork, including manifests and hazmat closeouts
- Customer service skills for phone and in-person interactions
- Ability to adapt to change and handle essential tasks
Requirements
- Fluent English communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High school diploma required; college preferred
- At least one year of trucking or similar experience; supervisory experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and D.O.T. regulations
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments
- May require outdoor work in extreme weather
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform manual tasks
- Visual acuity for data analysis and reading
- Exposure to interior and exterior environments, including inclement weather and vehicle fumes
- Manual dexterity and communication skills for effective interaction
