Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory is seeking an In Vivo Technologist to join the Rare Disease Translational Center (RDTC) team in Bar Harbor, Maine. Responsibilities include executing in vivo tasks, basic biomethods, dosing, sample collection, and animal care under supervision, with strong emphasis on SOPs and accurate data entry.

Two-year degree in life sciences required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Pay range is $20.15–$33.74 per hour, with experience-based compensation.

Qualifications

  • Two-year associate science degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Support In Vivo operations by following SOPs and protocols with supervision.
  • Perform basic biomethods including dosing, sample collection, and blood processing.
  • Provide animal care support and monitor welfare, reporting observations.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and documentation in lab systems.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs and policies and complete tasks on time.
  • Collaborate with In Vivo team to address routine and non-routine questions.
