Job summary

Zealand Pharma is seeking an In Vivo Research Associate to join the Translational Pharmacology group at our Cambridge, MA site. You will run rodent studies and metabolic phenotyping to advance drug candidates through the preclinical pipeline.

The role covers the full study workflow, from formulation preparation to data analysis and reporting. You will work closely with senior scientists, gain broad exposure to in vivo pharmacology, and contribute to study decisions while occasionally supporting

Qualifications

BS/BA in biology, pharmacology, or a related field with 1–2 years of hands-on in vivo experience.
Proficiency with core rodent techniques (handling, dosing, collection).
Experience with standard lab techniques (ELISA, sample processing) and preparing solutions or formulations.
Working knowledge of IACUC requirements and good documentation practices.
GraphPad Prism and Excel proficiency; Benchling is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform compound administration (SC, IP, IV, PO) and collect data on mice and rats.
Conduct metabolic phenotyping (glucose/insulin tolerance, body composition, indirect calorimetry).
Collect non-terminal samples and tissues on timed schedules for PK/PD studies; perform terminal procedures as needed.
Coordinate study logistics including dosing schedules and sample plans.
Prepare formulations and dosing solutions for in vivo studies; maintain inventories.
Process and analyze samples using ELISA and biochemical assays; document in ELN.
Summarize study data in GraphPad Prism/Excel and present results to the team.
