Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Veterinary Technology; LATG certification encouraged, candidate must sit LATG within 12 months.
• Experience in management of genetically engineered mouse models.
• Proficiency in rodent techniques such as injections, blood and tissue collection.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate with management in a demanding scientific environment.
• Experience in rodent breeding colony management and related procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; lift up to 50 lbs; wear respiratory protection if needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct parts of or complete in vivo studies under supervision.
• Organize experiments, perform injections, and record detailed study reports.
• Manage rodent colonies and maintain TOPAZ database.
• Follow breeding strategies based on genotyping results.
• Administer experimental compounds and chemical carcinogens.
• Record tumor measurements and monitor treatment responses.
• Work with hazardous radiological, chemical, and biological materials.
• Communicate study details and scheduling with core facilities and management.
