Job summary

Spectraforce is seeking a Scientist III for the CAR-T Biology team in South San Francisco. You will advance in vivo CAR-T platforms from concept to preclinical development, combining synthetic biology with immune modulation. Expect independent milestone ownership and data-driven collaboration across teams.

The role requires deep CAR-T expertise, T-cell assays, and experience with cell-based assays, planning experiments, and scientific reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced CAR-T biology experience required.
• Strong ability to design, execute and interpret experiments.
• Prior experience in preclinical cell therapy projects preferred.
• Deep expertise in primary T cell isolation, activation, transduction, cytotoxicity and cytokine profiling.

Responsibilities

• Develop in vivo CAR-T platforms from concept to preclinical development.
• Design CAR constructs and evaluate cell-based assays.
• Deliver on milestones and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Maintain thorough ELN documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support pipeline programs.
