Job summary

MTCA, the MOBIS Technical Center of North America, seeks a software engineer to develop in-vehicle infotainment apps using Kotlin/Java for Android.

You will work on Android Auto features, optimize performance with profiling tools, and participate in design reviews and requirements docs. 40+ hours per week, occasional international/local travel, based in Plymouth Charter Township, MI. Mobis sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or similar technical field.
• Experience developing automotive multimedia/infotainment software is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop Kotlin and Java Android apps for in-vehicle infotainment.
• Develop new vehicle programs with Digital Radio features.
• Use JIRA for issue analysis and resolution.
• Participate in design & code reviews.
• Create software requirements and design documents.
• Participate in vehicle quality events.
• Manage small projects and technical resources, including planning estimating and follow through.
• Work with the customer to refine requirements and to resolve issues.
