Job summary

PACCAR Technical Center in Washington state is seeking a Calibration Engineer to join the Vehicle Calibration team. You will focus on calibration and in-vehicle verification of heavy- and medium-duty truck functions across multiple configurations and powertrains.

Join a global, cross-divisional team to develop and calibrate top-tier vehicle features for North America, ensuring quality and performance through rigorous testing and data-driven tuning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in vehicle development, integration or testing.
• Knowledge of vehicle and powertrain management systems.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (J1939, UDS, XCP, Ethernet, CAN, LIN).
• Ability to work independently and within a team, and to communicate findings clearly.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, verify, release, and implement software for vehicle features across configurations.
• Integrate and optimize vehicle performance through in-vehicle testing of control software.
• Review requirements and provide feedback to ensure accurate calibration and verification.
• Develop/test plans and document defects with actionable detail.
• Collaborate with Controls, Software, and Validation teams to diagnose issues.
