Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Vehicle Calibration Engineer - Software Integration to advance calibration, integration, and in-vehicle verification for its autonomous vehicle platform. You will work within a global team to calibrate features across multiple configurations and powertrains, ensuring robust testing and release processes.

The role requires hands-on calibration expertise, strong problem solving, and the ability to collaborate with Controls, Software, and Validation teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in vehicle development, integration, or testing.
• CDL or ability to obtain CDL.
• Knowledge of vehicle and powertrain management systems.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols: J1939, UDS, XCP, Ethernet, CAN-bus, LIN-bus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication of technical findings to stakeholders.
• Organized with good time management and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Independently calibrates, verifies, releases, and implements software for vehicle features across configurations and powertrains.
• Integrates, calibrates, and optimizes vehicle performance via in-vehicle testing of control software.
• Reviews requirements for gaps and testability; provides feedback to owners.
• Develops and executes test plans; documents defects for resolution.
• Provides technical feedback on product changes affecting calibration and testing.
• Supports release of running change software with limited oversight.
• Translates requirements into calibration data and configurations; flags ambiguities.
• Collaborates with Controls, Software, and Validation teams to troubleshoot and drive defects to closure.
• Delivers work on schedule while maintaining calibration quality.
