Job summary

Intuit in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Licensed Tax Accountant to provide in-store tax preparation and advisory services for individuals and small businesses. You will prepare and file accurate returns, maximize deductions, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while meeting clients face-to-face.

Qualifications

• Experience in in-person tax preparation for individuals and small businesses.
• Ability to review documents and identify deductions/credits.
• Knowledge of federal and state tax codes and filing requirements.
• Proficiency with tax software (Intuit/TurboPro/Lacerte).
• Strong data entry and secure record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tax preparation and filing services for individuals and small businesses using Intuit tools
• Review financial documents, identify deductions and credits, and ensure compliance with current tax laws
• Advise clients on tax strategies, planning opportunities, and potential impacts of life events
• Verify accuracy of returns, resolve discrepancies, and respond to basic IRS or state tax notices
• Maintain detailed, secure client records in Intuit systems while protecting sensitive data
• Collaborate with in-store and remote Intuit teams to improve client experiences and share best practices
• Educate clients on Intuit products such as Turbo
• Tax and related financial solutions
• Stay current on federal and state tax regulations through ongoing training and certification renewals
