Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Tailor/Fitter in Bloomington, MN to provide exceptional service through skilled alterations and fittings. You will measure, fit, sew, and adjust garments to Nordstrom standards, ensuring timely customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of tailoring or sewing experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with flexibility in a fast-paced retail environment; training on our equipment and processes is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience (preferred 2–3 years).
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark alterations.
• Perform fittings and alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines.
• Meet productivity goals while following procedures.
• Use store technology to manage alteration needs.
• Deliver customer service through teamwork within the Alterations & Store Team.
• Educate customers on fit, construction, and trend.
