Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Provo, UT seeks an In-Store Sales - Driver to handle counter sales, customer service, and warehouse duties. The role requires CDL B and a Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain it within 60 days, with a DOT medical exam or the ability to pass.

You will support the Outside Sales team, process orders, and promote gas and hard goods additions. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in customer service or inside sales, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year in Customer Service/Inside Sales/Counter Sales preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• No DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related convictions in the last 10 years.
• At least two years driving experience or completion of truck driver training.
• No preventable accidents or license suspensions in the past 2 years.
• Current medical examiner’s certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Valid class B CDL required; Hazmat Endorsement within 60 days of hire.
• Age 21 or older.
• Able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and enter telephone orders, answer questions, resolve challenges, and trace order status or shipments.
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers.
• Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
• Promote add-on sales of gases and hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations.
• Maintain customer records and pricing accuracy.
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small B customers.
• Sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and support additional locations when needed.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will perform customer service activities, including receiving and entering telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or product shipments
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers
• And you will provide sales support to the Outside Sales team
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs
• You will promote add‑on sales of gases and high‑margin hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations as an in‑store sales representative
• Maintain customer records and files, ensuring accurate account setup and pricing
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small 'B' customers
• You will sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and occasionally support additional locations

What Makes You Great

• High School Diploma / GED is required
• More than one (1+) year(s) of Customer Service/Inside Sales/Counter Sales is preferred
• You have excellent customer service skills
• No DUI/DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• Have at least two years driving experience or have completed a course of instruction from a truck driver training school that operates equipment similar to Linde's
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past two (2) years
• A current medical examiner’s certificate or the ability to pass a DOT physical
• Valid class B CDL is required
• Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat Endorsement within 60 days of hire
• Reached the age of 21 years or older
• Able to lift 50lbs
