Marlborough, MA-based Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is hiring a delivery driver responsible for unloading and delivering cylinders, accurate paperwork, and HazMat compliance.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain a clean driving record, and follow the prescribed route with handheld devices to document transactions. The role emphasizes customer service, safe handling, and adherence to DOT regulations while supporting various industrial, service, educational, and medical customers.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have CDL Class A and Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain Hazmat within 60 days.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience or completion of truck driver training with similar equipment.
• Must have a valid DOT medical certificate and pass DOT physical.
• Must read and write in English and be 21 years or older.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Unload products and move to customer use point, reload returns.
• Deliver, count quantities, and record deliveries and pickups accurately.
• Complete Hazardous Materials shipping paperwork per DOT/TC.Regulations and place hazard placards as required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; identify and communicate vehicle needs.
• Interface with internal and external customers during deliveries.
• Operate multiple equipment types and follow a computer-generated route/sequence.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will provide a high standard of Customer Service while delivering, which includes unloading of products and movement to customer use point and reloading the returned empty cylinders to the vehicle
• Driving represents approximately 30 % of the day, the remaining portion of the day includes delivery, cylinder handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer contact, vehicle AM and PM inspections
• You will accurately count and record quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up
• Complete Hazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TC Regulations
• Placard vehicle according to required hazardous material regulations and LINDE standards
• You will conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for vehicle repairs and/or maintenance and ensure it is accomplished on time
• You will operate a variety of equipment
• Regularly interface with both internal and external customers
• Delivery to all types of Industrial, Service, Educational and Medical customers
• You will be using handheld computers for conducting customer transaction paperwork as well as compliance needs such as Hazmat preparation, vehicle inspection reports, load report, trip reports etc.
• Following a computer-generated Route and Sequence delivery plan

What makes you great

• You have 2 years driving experience or have completed a course of instruction from a truck driver training school that operates equipment similar to Linde's
• You have no preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
• You have no alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years
• A current medical examiner’s certificate or the ability to pass a DOT physical
• Valid class A CDL is required
• Current Hazmat on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat within 60 days of hire
• You can read and write in English
• High School G.E.D. is required
• You are 21 years or older
