Job summary

The Children's Place in Yuba City, CA is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and deliver outstanding customer service. You will use product knowledge and selling techniques to meet goals while maintaining merchandise presentation and a tidy store.

Expect to greet customers, handle transactions at the cashwrap, and contribute to loss prevention and stockroom upkeep. A flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items when necessary
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented
• Follow company standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display
• Support neat, clean, organized stockroom and customer ready environment
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard
• Contribute to Loss Prevention procedures
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly
• Contribute to store goals
• Process stock when necessary
