Job summary

SCHEELS in Minot, ND is seeking a friendly, energetic sales associate to greet customers, assess their needs, and guide them through the sales process.

You will promote the Scheels Visa, hit personal sales goals, support visual merchandising, and assist with freight, inventory, and training of new associates. Must have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of sales experience; physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of sales experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and perform in a retail environment with steps of sale.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shop.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card.
• Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience.
• Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing.
• Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking.
• Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft.
• Attend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings.
• Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise.
