Job summary

The Michaels in Brighton, MI is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, while delivering friendly customer service. You’ll help guests shop, enroll them in rewards programs, and support omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS.

You will coordinate multiple events, lead craft activities, handle checkouts, and maintain safety and store standards.

• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Good communication skills including written, verbal, and listening abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store, including children's birthday parties.
• Engage customers of all ages with a fun, creative experience.
• Demonstrate crafts and lead activities; some face painting.
• Manage party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Assist customers in locating products and providing solutions.
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS, SFS) and checkout efficiency.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; assist with stock and planograms.
