Job summary

The Container Store is seeking a Designer/Sales Specialist to design custom spaces and drive sales with exceptional customer service. You will lead store interactions, collaborate with customers on plans, and promote services like In-Home Designing and Organizing.

Strong selling skills and product knowledge are essential. Responsibilities include closing sales, coordinating with managers, maintaining visual displays, and acting as a brand ambassador to support company initiatives and training

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 2–5 years sales and clientele experience preferred.
• Design experience and spatial intelligence.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Maintains professional appearance and dress code when representing The Container Store.
• Knowledge and passion for trends in the custom closets/retail industry.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work additional hours as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to design customized plans clearly and professionally.
• Promote and coordinate services like In-Home Designing, In-Home Organizing, installation, financing, and loyalty.
• Focus on closing sales and building repeat/referral business.
• Maintain clear communication with Managers and Support Center for project completion.
• Lead the sales floor and assist Managers as needed.
• Stay current with training, selling, product knowledge, promotions, and store philosophies.
• Maintain the custom space area and store visuals.
• Act as brand ambassador driving company initiatives and professional behavior.
• Use company tools and email proficiently.
