Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit designated stores each week, scan barcodes, and collect data for analysis. The role offers flexible hours and a base of 2–4 hours per week per store, with occasional 1–2 hours for special projects. Paid travel at the hourly rate and opportunities for 401(k) matching are provided.

Ideal for self-motivated individuals who can work independently, stay on schedule, and handle physical activity during shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit local stores weekly to scan barcodes on displays and in aisles.
• Use a mobile app to record barcode data across various store locations.
• Provide weekly data and adapt to project requests.
• Support multiple store types including grocery, drug, and mass merchants.
• Complete in-store scanning with attention to deadlines and accuracy.
