Job summary

Optimum is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and self-driven individuals to join its Retail team as a Retail Sales Consultant in North Babylon, NY. You will be part of one of the company’s largest sales channels, building strong connections with customers while exceeding sales targets and delivering an exceptional experience.

You will serve as an in-store brand ambassador, selling our connectivity solutions and creating lifelong customers through outstanding service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of retail selling experience.
Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivator with the ability to work independently.
Proficient computer and technical skills for customer solutions.
For some locations, travel to other stores within 35 miles may be required; discussed at interview.
Standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
Ability to work full time and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

Build connections with customers and greet them in-store to determine needs and guide product selection.
Stay informed about Optimum products and services to educate customers and recommend best options.
Assist customers with billing, service questions, payments, exchanges, and equipment issues; troubleshoot where needed.
Represent Optimum as a brand ambassador with professionalism and enthusiasm in all customer interactions.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless, exceptional customer experience and support across shifts.
