Job summary

Three Bears Alaska is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, supervise staff, and ensure excellent customer service. You will help with inventory, analytics, and implementing strategies to boost performance in a climate-controlled store environment.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel/Word, with forklift certification preferred and a high school diploma or GED. In-person, full-time position based in Alaska.

Qualifications

• Assist in customer and team interactions to maintain satisfaction.
• Support merchandising and seasonal product changes.
• Help control profit and loss by managing shrinkage.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend actions.
• Coordinate logistics with truck drivers for loading/unloading.
• Evaluate store conditions and supervise team toward goals.
• Ensure safety and corporate policy compliance.
• Operate pallet jacks and other equipment.
• Utilize spreadsheet programs and email.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Apply basic to intermediate math skills.
• Exhibit physical ability: lifting, bending, fine motor skills.
• Demonstrate leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and staff supervision.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain store standards.
• Assist in inventory management and sales analysis.
• Implement strategies to improve store performance.
• Coordinate logistics with truck drivers for loading/unloading.

• Manage receiving, shrinkage, and loss prevention.

• Operate cash registers and basic office equipment.
