Qualifications

• Active Illinois teaching license and certification required.
• CTE endorsement required.
• Experience with visually impaired students in a school setting.
• Experience conducting functional vision and media assessments.
• Comfortable performing classroom observations.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Available for a 30-minute interview.
• This opportunity is not available for virtual participation.

Responsibilities

• Support the evaluation process by conducting thorough functional vision assessments.
• Perform media assessments to determine appropriate educational materials.
• Observe students in classroom settings to gather findings and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with school professionals to interpret assessment results.
• Deliver detailed, timely reports to assist in student planning and support.
• Maintain compliance with all state and district requirements throughout the evaluation period.
