Job summary

Caledonia Community School District is seeking a Level 2 Paraprofessional to serve as In School Suspension Monitor and Athletic Assistant at Duncan Lake Middle School. The role reports to the Building Principal and provides educational support in math, reading, and other areas under teacher direction.

Responsibilities include supervising ISS, providing instructional support, and assisting with athletic duties; ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience with students.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework desired.
• Experience: previous experience with students preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics instruction

Responsibilities

• Supervise students assigned to in-school suspension and ensure on-task behavior.
• Provide classwork and assist students with instructions and organization.
• Monitor academic progress and return assignments to teachers.
• Enforce respectful behavior and de-escalate conflicts.
• Record attendance and report issues to administrators.
• Assist with athletic duties and coordinate with coaches.
