Copperas Cove ISD is seeking an ISS Aide at Copperas Cove Junior High School to supervise students in the In-School Suspension program. You will work under the supervision of the principal and a certified teacher to maintain a productive environment.

The role requires 48 hours of college credit or an associate degree, or a Region 12 paraprofessional certificate; a year of classroom aide experience is preferred. Daily duties include behavior management and clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 48 hours of college credit, or
• Associate's Degree or higher, or
• HS or GED with Region 12 Paraprofessional Academy certificate

Responsabilités

• Work with certified teacher and campus administrators to provide an environment for students removed from their classroom.
• Manage student behavior and administer discipline according to board policies, administrative regulations, and IEPs.
• Work with individual students to complete assignments given by classroom teacher.
• Consult classroom teachers regarding student assignments.
• Supervise students assigned to ISS program during lunch and bathroom breaks.
• Assist in supervising students during the school day, both inside and outside the classroom, including lunchroom and bus duty.
• Assist with office clerical duties as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
