Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate.
• Educational Aide III Certificate required for certain settings.
• One year of clerical/secretarial experience in an office.
• Experience in educational environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an orderly classroom environment with certified staff.
• Assist students with assignments and complete tasks given by classroom teacher.
• Consult with classroom teachers regarding student assignments.
• Distribute, collect, and check student assignments for accuracy.
• Maintain individual files of completed assignments and return them to teachers.
• Supervise students assigned to ISS during lunch and breaks.
• Attend faculty meetings and provide other clerical/instructional assistance as needed.
