Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credits; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Strong knowledge of technology including MS Office, Video Conferencing, Teams, Google, Shared platforms, and education specific software.
• Promotes cultural competency through building positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Massachusetts Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Those pursuing a career in education preferred.
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a positive learning environment to support intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
• Delivers instruction and implements lesson plans aligned with District goals.
• Supervise students in school related settings.
• Maintain established routines and procedures in the classroom.
• Support students in whole class, small group and individual settings using various teaching methods.
• Adapt instruction delivery to best meet the needs of all students.
• Communicate with students, staff, and families.
• Follow and support all District and school policies, rules, and procedures.
• Meet with the appropriate Administrator and orientate to school policies and procedures.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and welfare.
• Report student-related injuries, accidents, illnesses, discipline problems promptly.
• Report daily activities in writing at day’s end.
• Participate in District-provided Professional Development.
• Maintain confidentiality of position and student/school information.
• Other related duties as assigned by the building administrator.
