Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credits required (Associate degree preferred).
• Experience working with children.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a positive learning environment to support their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
• Delivers instruction and implements lesson plans in line with District’s goals to ensure success for all students.
• Supervise students in school related settings.
• Maintains routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Supports students in whole class, small group and individual settings using various teaching methods.
• Adapts instruction delivery to best meet the needs of all students.
• Communicates with students, staff, and families.
• Follows and supports all District and school policies, rules, and procedures.
• Meets with the appropriate Administrator and becomes orientated to school policies and procedures.
• Supervises students to ensure their safety and welfare.
• Reports any student related injury, accident, illness, discipline problem to Administration.
• Reports in writing on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
• Participates in all District provided Professional Development.
• Maintains confidentiality of the position including all student and school personnel information.
