Job summary

The Wilder School in Wilder, Vermont, part of the Hartford School District, seeks a Classroom Counselor to provide direct clinical services to students in the Alternative Program (grades 2–8). You will collaborate with teachers and other counselors to implement educational and therapeutic interventions.

The position is full-time with a salary range of $44,882 to $94,823 per year. Starting date is immediate, with ongoing training and supervision to support student academic, social, and emotional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in social work or psychology.
• Experience with children in educational/therapeutic settings.
• Vermont licensure preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical skills in developmental trauma and emotional disturbances.
• Ability to implement research-based treatment and behavioral plans.
• Experience in designing behavioral supports in schools.
• Effective communication with students, parents and school teams.
• Strong crisis intervention skills.
• Support to educational staff and reintegration of students.

Responsibilities
