Job summary

Mauna Lani, part of Auberge Collection, seeks an In-Room Dining Server to deliver an outstanding in-room dining experience for guests and colleagues. This casual, guest-focused role requires timely delivery of items, engaging with guests, and maintaining accuracy in the POS system.

The position calls for at least one year in customer service or hospitality, the ability to work weekends and holidays, and eligibility for required food handling and alcohol certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in customer service or the foodservice/hospitality industry.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for food and alcohol service.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local certifications such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver requested items in an efficient and timely manner.
• Relate with guests about needs and satisfaction with beverages and drinks, ensuring high-quality service.
• Retrieve orders from the POS system and communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen; maintain knowledge of menu items.
• Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature as required.
• Operate, maintain, and clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
• Ensure food delivery is tidy and that a par of beverages, snacks, and non-food items is maintained on cart/storage areas.
• Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Job Description

The base salary for this position is $16.00 hourly.

As our In-Room Dining Server, you will be responsible for serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by ensuring an outstanding and memorable in-room dining experience for each guest. This is a casual position.

• Deliver requested items in an efficient and timely manner.
• Relate with guests about needs, and satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service.
• Retrieve orders from the POS system and communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen. Maintain knowledge of all menu items.
• Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required.
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
• Ensure that the food delivery is tidy and keep an accurate par of food items such as beverages and snacks, as well as non-food items like menu cards, napkins, straws, etc. on cart and in storage areas.
• Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper skills and food safety guidelines.
• Check quality and expiration of all items; discard and replace according to established procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in customer service or the foodservice/hospitality industry.
• Must meet the minimum age requirements for food and alcohol service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
• Ability to lift 30lbs.
