Job summary

Auberge Resorts Collection, Solage in Calistoga, CA, seeks a Part Time-Seasonal In-Room Dining Server to provide outstanding in-room dining experiences for guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities include taking orders, delivering items, maintaining menu knowledge and POS accuracy, and upholding food safety standards. The role requires at least 1 year in customer service and color certifications where applicable; lifting up to 30 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in customer service or the foodservice/hospitality industry.
• Must meet the minimum age requirements for food and alcohol service.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
• Ability to lift 30lbs

Responsibilities

• Accurately and quickly take and place orders and input them into the POS system ensuring correct timing and billing.
• Deliver requested items in an efficient and timely manner.
• Relate with guests about needs, and satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service
• Retrieve orders from the POS system and communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen. Maintain knowledge of all menu items.
• Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings
• Ensure that the food delivery is tidy and keep an accurate par of food items such as beverages and snacks, as well as non-food items like menu cards, napkins, straws, etc. on cart and in storage areas.
• Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper skills and food safety guidelines
• Clean and maintain in-room private/mini-bars; report damage, or malfunctioning units
• Check quality and expiration of all items; discard and replace according to established procedures.

The starting pay rate for this position is $16.90 per hour plus tips. This is the pay rate for this position that Solage reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
