Job summary

Solage, Auberge Collection in Calistoga is seeking a Part-Time Host to warmly greet guests, manage seating, and support reservations in a premium setting.

You will coordinate with restaurant and pool staff to ensure smooth flow, maintain station cleanliness, and assist with guest communications while upholding exemplary service standards in a Napa Valley environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a high-end setting.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Must be able to speak and write in English fluently.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local certifications, such as food handler’s or alcohol training, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide courteous service, and efficiently handle check-ins and seating.
• Answer phones, take reservations, take in-room dining orders, and maintain records in reservation systems.
• Coordinate with restaurant and/or pool staff to optimize guest placements and avoid overbooking.
• Assist with preparation of station charts, assign stations, and guide servers and staff in table set-up.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the host station and work areas.
• Monitor guest profiles, VIP arrivals, and special requests in reservation systems.
• Ensure menus and wine lists are current and well-stocked.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Familiarize yourself with hotel services and local attractions to respond accurately to inquiries.
• Collaborate with Food and Beverage Management to set a positive restaurant tone.
