Job summary

JW Marriott Turnberry Miami Resort & Spa in Aventura, FL is seeking an In Room Dining Order Taker. You will provide prompt, courteous service and have knowledge of room service menus to deliver a luxury in-room dining experience while maintaining attention to detail.

The role involves handling guest orders, upselling menu items, coordinating with the kitchen and servers, and recording transactions in the POS system in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous food and beverage experience in a hotel environment preferred.
• Knowledge of food and wine an asset.
• Food handling certificate & TIPS certificate an asset.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Take all guests room service orders and communicate them to the servers.
• Answer questions on menu selections, and check with kitchen associates.
• Make appropriate suggestions of food and beverages (upsell).
• Notify guests and management of delays in service delivery.
• Communicate dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record transaction in POS system at time of order.
• Complete closing reports and process all payment methods.
• Ensure order details and pricing are communicated to the Kitchen and servers.
