Job summary

Keene State College invites applications for its inaugural Visiting Scholar Program in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. The scholar will reside in Keene, NH for Fall 2027, contribute to the Cohen Institute’s events, and teach one undergraduate special topics course in the Department of Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

The position combines staff duties in programming and public lectures with teaching responsibilities, reporting to the Institute Director and the academic dean for teaching matters.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree by start date.
• Academic background in Holocaust/Genocide Studies evidenced by publications or teaching.
• Experience teaching at college/university level, in-person preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver public-facing events and programs related to the scholar's expertise.
• Lead one public lecture and collaborate with partners across USNH and Keene State College.
• Coordinate event planning with Institute teams and academic departments.
• Attend meetings with the Director and Institute staff to support planning.
• Follow Institute protocols for communications and task management.
