Job summary

Foxconn Assembly, LLC is seeking an In Process Quality Control inspector for day/swing shifts at the San Jose site. You will monitor quality across PCBA manufacturing, perform SMT in-process inspections, and ensure compliance with IPC-610 standards.

Strong attention to detail and good communication are essential. Responsibilities include inspecting markings, measuring components, and using AOI where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent training.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of IPC-610 workmanship standards and ESD.
• Ability to read inspection data and record results.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMT in-process inspection on PCBA components.
• Inspect, measure, and identify part markings and polarities.
• Use magnification tools, calipers, and basic inspection devices.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and follow procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality.
• Record data and adhere to IPC-610 requirements.

In Process Quality Control (NVD) - Day/Swing

Job Classification: Non-Exempt

As an IPQC you will be responsible for monitoring quality standards for nearly all manufactured products. The IPQC Inspector’s duties include performing SMT first article inspection responsible to inspect, measure and identify the part marking, component measurement , component Identification, polarity of electronic components related to PCBA assembly, visual inspection using magnifying lens, microscope and basic measurement and inspection tools/devices, basic computer skills to read /record inspection data and information, be able to understand the IPC -A-610 standard to comply workmanship acceptability, communication with other department and function, and able to use AOI machine ( Automatic optic Inspection)

Key Responsibilities

• Using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble units
• Perform SMT in-process inspection on electronic and mechanical components related to PCBA assembly
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
• Use basic inspection tool/device, example: magnifying lens, microscope, caliper, and color pantone
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with electronic and mechanical components related to PCBA contract manufacturing
• Accuracy for documentation
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees
• Common sense to solve practical problems
• Knowledge of ESD, IPC-600/610, workmanship standards and experience
• Attention to detail

Education and Experience

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Language: English proficiency is required; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

This is a contracted/temp position with a possibility to convert to permanent full-time.
