Job summary

XP Power seeks an In-Process Quality Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections across final assembly and test. You will verify drawings, work instructions, and IPC workmanship standards, recording results in the ERP/MES system, and collaborating with production, test, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include identifying nonconforming material, writing NCRs, and supporting MRB disposition while following ESD controls and ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Proficient with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and J-STD-001 workmanship standards.
• Able to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Familiar with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems and ESD control.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections at defined checkpoints in final assembly and test.
• Inspect electronic assemblies, wiring, and cable harnesses to IPC criteria.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Evaluate solder joints and terminations with stereo microscopes.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) when needed.
• Write Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and support MRB disposition.
• Record results in ERP/MES and communicate issues to team.
