Job summary

The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking an entry-level position for Substance Abuse education and case management. This role involves assisting residents in achieving their established plan goals through effective coordination of services. You will learn to implement treatment plans and maintain necessary documentation, contributing directly to the rehabilitation efforts.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in social or human services. Experience in human services is preferred, along with a commitment to obtaining certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.

Qualifications

• One to three years’ experience in human service activities preferred.
• Experience providing human service activities preferred.
• Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling within two (2) years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident case management to assist residents in achieving their established service plan goals.
• Maintains records and daily clinical charting as required.
• Assists in providing individual and group therapy or counseling.
• Performs Additions Severity Index (ASI) assessments.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in a social or human services field preferred
