Job summary

Grand Canyon University’s College of Theology invites applications for an adjunct faculty position on our traditional ground campus in Phoenix. The role involves teaching Theology courses with a focus on Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Christian Leadership.

Faculty are expected to facilitate lectures, engage students in objectives, assess performance, and mentor student success while upholding the university’s Doctrinal and Ethical Statements and mission.

Qualifications

• PhD is preferred; Master of Divinity or other Master's degree in theological or intercultural studies with at least 12 graduate credits in systematic theology or intercultural studies from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2+ years of professional experience preaching or teaching theology, biblical interpretation, or intercultural studies at the postsecondary level.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
