The position is in-person at a local Block Advisors office, with competitive pay and an incentive plan tied to impact and growth as you expand tax expertise and client service.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment
