H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare returns and deliver advisory services at a local Block Advisors office in Overland Park, KS. You will interview clients, identify tax savings, and provide clear recommendations using advanced training and technology.

Qualifications

• Completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 5+ years of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience with complex individual and business returns
• Client-facing, consultative or advisory experience
• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet IRS and state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations
• Provide clear, personalized tax-saving recommendations
• Build year-round client relationships with empathetic service
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive office culture
