Job summary

Tutor Me Education LLC is seeking a Special Education In-Person Tutor to provide one-on-one support in students' homes in California. You will help students with daily activities, offer moral support, and deliver instruction aligned with each IEP.

This role requires in-person commuting, SPED experience, college enrollment or degree, and a background check. You will design personalized lessons, track progress, and collaborate with families and teachers to ensure inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute in-person.
• Experience working with students with special needs.
• Must be enrolled in College or have completed an AA, BA or higher.
• Ability to make learning fun, interactive, and student-focused.
• Ability to pass an in-person background check (if required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs.
• Develop personalized lesson plans aligned with each student’s IEP.
• Adapt materials and teaching methods to fit learning styles and needs.
• Track and document student progress and adjust methods as needed.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education teams.
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment supporting emotional growth.
• Stay up to date on best practices in special education and apply them.
