Job summary

Soliant Health seeks an in-person Special Education Teacher for the Barre area, Vermont. Two full-time opportunities exist for the 2026-2027 school year, one for middle school and one elementary students. Positions are on-site with a 37.5-hour work week across an academic year from August 28, 2026 to June 18, 2027.

Compensation ranges from $26.93 to $46.93 per hour, with eligible benefits including healthcare, housing, and meals/incidentals. Remote options are not available for these roles.

Qualifications

• Valid state Special Education teaching certification
• Proven experience working in a school-based special education environment
• Comfortable providing in-person instruction; remote options not available
• Ability to design, implement, and track IEPs
• Strong collaboration with students, families, and educators
• Experience managing diverse learner caseloads for middle or elementary populations

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored special education services to assigned caseload at middle or elementary school level
• Develop, review, and update IEPs for progress and compliance
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive learning environments
• Document student milestones, challenges, and progress regularly
• Participate in team meetings and professional development in special education and inclusion
• Adhere to district and state policies regarding special education
