Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have an MA Reading Specialist/Teacher License.
• OG and Wilson Certified preferred.
• Previous experience as a Reading Specialist or in a related educational role.
• Strong grasp of evidence-based reading instruction methods.
• Ability to assess individual student needs and develop effective intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility in adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Administer assessments to evaluate students' reading levels and identify specific needs.
• Develop and implement tailored instructional plans that address individual student challenges.
• Provide one-on-one or small group reading instruction focusing on fluency, comprehension, and phonics.
• Employ a range of evidence-based teaching strategies and materials to enhance learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor progress and modify instruction as necessary.
• Keep detailed records of student progress and assessment results.
