Job summary

TalkNY Therapy is seeking a Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor or Psychotherapist in New York. Candidates will provide mental health counseling to a diversified patient population using evidence-based therapy approaches.

Responsibilities include conducting therapy for children and adults, completing necessary documentation, and participating in weekly supervision. A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling is required, along with MHC-LP certification. Flexible scheduling and 100% remote work within New York are available.

Qualifications

• MHC-LP (or working towards MHC-LP).
• Certificate of Professional Liability Insurance needed upon hire.
• Preferably able to work 15-20 hours weekly.

• Complete progress notes and update calendar within 24 hours.
• Participate weekly in mandatory supervision.

In Person MHC-LP Position - TalkNY Therapy

TalkNY Therapy is more than a therapy platform, it’s a community of dedicated professionals working together to make mental health care more accessible across New York. With over 115 therapists on our team, we offer individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy.

We are seeking part/full time (15+ hours weekly) Limited Permit Mental Health Counselors or Psychotherapists that have already graduated to provide mental health counseling to a diversified patient population using evidence-based therapy approaches.

The therapist in this position will be responsible for conducting in person mental health therapy children and adults. Direct therapy will be delivered in our office on 1441 Broadway New York, NY.

Requirements

This position will work directly with TalkNY clients to provide mental health services/therapy covering a variety of concerns (i.e. anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, relationships, etc…). Key requirements for this position are as follows:

• MHC-LP (or working towards MHC-LP)
• Complete progress notes and updated calendar within 24 hours of time of service.
• Complete initial intakes, treatment plans and progress notes.
• Maintain client’s charts and keep complete and correct documentation
• Case management including care coordination, collaborating with referral sources and connecting clients to care.
• Participate weekly in mandatory supervision.

• Preferably able to work 15-20-hours weekly

• Ability to work independently as well as communicate emergency situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
