Job summary

Loyola University Chicago is seeking a Research Assistant I for the Nishimura Lab at the Maywood Health Sciences Campus. The position is full-time and in-person, supporting laboratory work within the SURGERY department.

Primary duties include carrying out experiments, data collection, and assisting with protocols under the PI's direction. Minimum education is a Bachelor's degree with preferred background in chemistry or biology, and 1–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology preferred.
• Experience Required: None.
• Experience Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out experiments as instructed by PI, including tissue or cell culture work and preparing reagents.
• Perform techniques and assist with experiments as directed by the PI and senior staff.
• Gather, organize, and record data; perform simple analysis of results and document findings.
