Job summary

Ask IT Consulting invites qualified candidates to an in-person interview for a Mainframe COBOL developer role in Raleigh, NC. This is a full-time, 12+ month assignment with on-site requirement.

Ideal candidates will have extensive COBOL experience on Z/OS DB2, CICS, and familiarity with QMF, SPUFI and FILEAID. Strong communication, organizational skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for business users are essential.

Qualifications

• DB2 (Z/OS) application programming with knowledge of DB2 SQLs.
• CICS application programming experience.
• Experience with QMF, SPUFI and FILEAID/CA-RC-Browse.
• Structured development methodologies, preferably waterfall.
• COBOL debugging tools like XPEDITOR/CA-Intertest.
• Local to Raleigh/Triangle Area preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to translate highly technical concepts for business users.
• Ability to develop relationships with clients.
• Experience defining business requirements, reviewing specs, developing test cases, and unit testing.
• Excellent written skills with Word/Excel.
