Job summary

Tutor Partners LLC is seeking in-person high school math tutors to support Hacienda La Puente Unified School District’s afterschool program. The role focuses on small-group math instruction, aligning lessons with core standards and boosting student confidence.

Hours are 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., part-time and on-site at multiple school sites through May 2027. Strong math content knowledge and differentiation skills are required, with a collaborative, dependable approach valued highly.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 24 college credits required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience tutoring or teaching high school students (after-school or intervention program preferred).
• Strong content knowledge in high school math aligned with California Common Core Standards.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for varied skill levels and learning styles.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, small-group instruction in mathematics.
• Reinforce core academic concepts, support homework and class assignments, and guide students through practice activities.
• Use data and classroom alignment strategies to tailor lessons to student needs.
• Foster a supportive, culturally responsive, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with site coordinators, teachers, and administrators to ensure student progress and program consistency.
• Maintain attendance, progress, and session documentation accurately and on time.
